Happy Weekend!!

I don't usually post on weekends but I'm up on the earlier side and have a little extra time before I head off to teach.  Happy Saturday!

I'm so glad the weekend is here!

Had a nice Friday, worked in the AM, late lunch with a friend, some errands, a little pool time, and then a run. It was such a gorgeous day and I was so happy to take advantage of it.  Was supposed to meet up with a friend to go out, but when it was after 10p and he was still on his way home from the city, I bailed.  He gave me such a hard time, but to me, 11p is a bit late to just be going out, especially knowing I teach on Saturday morning and like to be at my best.

Am I the only one who tends to want a lazy/early night on Fridays?

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY! (This is the first father's day since my grandfather passed away in May, so I'm sure it will be a mix of emotions.  Whether your father is alive or not, use this day to cherish the memories that you have and be greatful for all he did.  Memories are an amazing thing.)

I'm going to add in to my posts some info on music.  There are certain songs that just really motivate me, so when something is in heavy rotation I'll share it with you.  Please let me know if there are any must-have songs for you too, I love getting new music (and I know my classes appreciate it too).

Tunes: World Hold On - Bob Sinclair  (this song TOTALLY pumps me up to push push push)

You're funny, I was totally wondering who my anonymous commenter was. :)
And yeah, smart start, all marketing, no nutrition.

Jessica, I'm 'new' and just love to learn new things I have been inspired by you with "knowledge is power" I honestly believe that. ( we home educate & I believe in 'life long learning')

I've been walking 3 miles a day recently as I learned the reason that I wasn't losing any weight even when busting my behind to do 'so' is that I'm
Insulin resistant sorta pre diabetes it's actually good news as I now am learning 'so' many things about eating in general and losing "finally" I've lost 31.5 lbs in the past 60 days 5/17/10-7/17/10 I'm learning about the carb/protein connection & of course about portion sizes & watching the sugar content. I've begun walking 3 miles and listen to upbeat tunes I've never heard of Bob Sinclair sp I checked him out. ;)

I wanted to share some that I listen to:
NY2LA- Press Play
Move'n- Group One Crew
Emotion-Breathe Electric

I keep rhythm of the beat and therefore can increase my speed & get my heart rate up.

I'm dedicated to making this work, I'm older but believe I can get to my goal weight (hopefully) without all the flab
So I can tone (need to learn that too) when i lose 100 I get to my goal weight. My first goal originally was to be within 30lbs of my goal weight & I decided that wasn't good enough. I deserve to become as healthy as I can 'so' I can live a long life.

Hey Creekermom!
Thanks SO much for checking out my blog. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Kudos to you for getting healthy, losing weight, and getting moving.
The hardest part is getting started, then you start to enjoy it and it becomes fun.
Keep up the GREAT work!
